We are the Physical Activity and Wearable Sensors Laboratory at the University of Texas at Arlington, and our aims are to develop personalized, adaptive, and timely behavior interventions to promote energy balance in real-world contexts utilizing data from wearable sensors and biosensors.

Our research areas include the use of wearable sensors and mobile technologies to (1) assess daily physical activity and sedentary behavior, along with contextual factors that might influence decisions to engage in those behaviors; (2) link daily behavioral patterns with obesity-related cancer risks; and (3) improve behavior change theories in the age of mobile technology-enhanced (mHealth) interventions.

Currently, we are actively recruiting for Project KNOWN, a study focused to study the benefits of physical activity among cancer survivors.
