- National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI) Mental Illness Awareness Week
Resources
- Jewish Family Service (Dallas) provides services for adults and children. They have support groups for breast and ovarian cancer, grief, chronic pain, caring for the caregivers, cancer survivors and children of parents with a chronic or terminal Illness. They help people of all religions, races and ethnicities. You don't have to be Jewish to get help. See their flyer- JFS_Overview2022.
- Say Yes to Hope is an organization that provides education and support to people with advanced cancers. It used to focus on cancers that spread to the liver but has expanded to people with any advanced cancer. Helpline: 877-937-7478.
- Triage Cancer has several guides for insurance, disability, FMLA and more; they also have a legal and financial navigation program. Order free educational materials at https://triagecancer.org/materialrequest.
