May Awareness
May is awareness for skin cancer and melanoma (Melanoma Monday – 6), bladder cancer, brain cancer, cancer research, mental health, physical fitness, older adults, women's health (12-18), ovarian cancer (8), hepatitis testing (19), clinical trials (20), don’t fry day (24), world digestive health (29) and no tobacco (31).

Spotlight on Skin Cancer
- One in five Americans will develop skin cancer in their lifetime.
- Melanoma is the least common but most deadly form of skin cancer.
- Skin cancer can be prevented and identified in early stages.
- The first Monday in May is Melanoma Monday, a day to check your skin for suspicious spots. Remember to use the A,B,C,D,E rule to examine your spots.
- Don’t Fry Day is the last Friday in May, a reminder to protect your skin.
- There's a lot of myths about skin cancer. Learn the facts.
