Happy February!
February Awareness
February is awareness for cancer prevention, world cancer day (4) and bile duct and gallbladder cancer. See more on our calendar and resources page here.
Spotlight on Cancer Prevention
Cancer touches almost everyone. Nearly 2 million Americans are diagnosed with cancer each year. The good news is that cancer prevention and early detection can save lives.
Did you know that many choices you make every day can lower your risk for several types of cancer?
Research shows that up to 50% of cancer cases and about 50% of cancer deaths are preventable with the knowledge we have today.
Routine cancer screening can detect cancer early (even if you have no signs or symptoms). When cancer is detected early, it increases your chance of survival. You may also require less extensive treatment or have more treatment options.
